Eating Puffs
Dylan is learning to self feed now and we've been "practicing" with puffs so we don't waste a bunch of food. The first day it was so cute- they kept getting stuck on his lips and he wasn't quite sure what to do. Looks like he's got little buck teeth! He has since mastered the skill and is now eating pears and mangos on his own.

Cowboy Dylan
For those of you that read our Christmas letter you know that Dylan has been considering becoming a cowboy. Here is a video of him and Leila in training.
Quinoa
So I've started a new diet plan. I call it the "Would I Feed This To My Baby" diet. Here's how it works: If I wouldn't let Dylan eat it, I'm not going to eat it either. Bye-bye junk food and soda. Hello healthy fruits, veggies, organic dairy and lean meats.
One of the foods that fits in perfectly with my new master diet plan in quinoa. It's the "mother of all grains"... a virtual super food! It's high in fiber and protein and all kinds of other good stuff. All the baby websites I've been reading say it's great for babies, especially babies that get a little constipated with other grains.
So we gave quinoa a try... and Dylan was less than a fan to say the least.
(Don't tell him that a few minutes later I hid some quinoa in his sweet potatoes... he didn't even notice- Success!)
